Geography
A large portion of Erin is forested, and not just forested, we're talking dark primevil wild woods here, with hidden glades and the lot. Most of this land is unexplored, and inhabited mainly by the Wild Elves- though who knows what else resides there? That of Erin which is not forested is a beautiful land, rolling green hills, picturesque mountains, the tallest being Can Dagne in the south. The island is huge, maybe bigger than Albion, no one is quite sure, what is known is that in the south, seperated by a long stretch of sea, is Moi island, ancestral island of the Ard Righs, it is the most powerful ritul circle in Fir Cruthen lands. Traditionally it is enshrouded in obscuring mists, and only The true ruler of Erin can penetrate the mists. The land itself in Erin is truly beautiful, almost otherworldly, and indeed Erin has the closest ties with the Fae realms in the Fir Cruthen lands.
People
The people of Erin are a cheerful lot, theirs is a land of wonder and poetry, and it is true that here is the stronghold of the bards. They are much given to flamboyance, of open emotions and getting locquacious. Something in the land inspires a poetic soul, even the warriors are given to such flights of fancy. Erinians live to the full, and fight to the full. They are very clan based, yet like the Cymrjans extreme import is placed on who your father was, and your father's father, and your father's father's father, and so on. Perhaps because they live in a land long associated with the fae there is something almost fae about them, in their rapid mood swings and joi de vivre. Their country is divided into five cantrevs, Ulster, Munster, Leinster, Connaucht and Tara, Tara traditionally being the seat of the Prince, the Prince in Erin being known as the Ard Righ. The Ard Righ seat is currently in the sway of the O' Flaherty and O' Connor dynasty, two long intertwined families.
The Clans
Erin is, like Caledonia based on a clan structure, with famed clans having ancient dynasties that go back to the original settlers, some of the many famed families include; The O'Flaherty, traditionally the ruling clan- The O'Connor-another clan associated with royalty, between them these two clans hold the lion's share of rulership in Erin. Smaller, yet no less worthy clans are; the O'Dyna, the McMorna, the Fitzpatrick, the McKellen, FitzHugh, McRonan and the O'Kelly.
Wildlife
Erin is home to more deer and wild boar than the other two countries, predators consist of wolves, bears and big cats, with a few Canaris thrown in for good (or bad) measure. Within the wilds of the forests however, none knows what creatures dwell there, apart from the Wild Elves, and they certainly aren't telling.
Major Exports
Trouble(of the pickled liver variety), Food, Wood, lucky charms, potaoes, Bardic works, Some of the finest beers known to man, bards.
Places of Note
The principal castle and town in Dubh Lynn in Cantrev Tara, here the Ard Righ holds court, it is an opulent castle and many bards and performers stay there for much of the year, entertaining guests. The other castle is Jaechar Darn in Cantrev Connacht, a larger, more military base, capable of hosting a warband. Ritual circles are Moi Island, Clontarf , Brugh na Boyne and Moi Tura, though this last has seen much activity of the Fae courts, and many are nervous of it's old powers, and old users.
Major towns are Guinness, Eremon and Machynleth, the respective capitals of Ulster, Munster and Leinster.
Associated peoples
The first of the associated peoples are the Wild Elves, they dwell in the deep forests near the river Boyne, they are savage and extremely distrustful of outsiders, especially humans. Their ways are old and uncivilised, even by Fir Cruthen society and they are very abrupt with trespassers. Recently inroads have been made with them, and several journey with the King's host, yet their anger is ever close to the surface. None has stepped forth to claim leadership of them, and for now it is best to take them on a case by case basis. Fir Cruthen legend is that they are what was left behind when the Fae left this realm, and inbreeding with normal elves has made them such, this goes some way towards explaining their preemptory attitude towards humans, though none would voice this legend to a wild elf's face.
